Bishop Balthasar, head of the Hungarian Clvanist Church, expressed to a deputation from the Jewish community here his opposition to the persecution of the Jews in Germany and his sympathy with Hungarian Jews in their anxiety.

“I highly appreciate that the Jews of Hungary, promoting art, science and the economic life are horrified by these anti-Semitic dragons’ teeth born of shattered nerves.”
