The West One Hundred and Sixteenth Street Synagogue of the Firs Hungarian Congregation Ohab Zedek will celebrate the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of its dedication beginning September 24th and ending October 23rd.
A Silver Jubilee Committee of which the Honorable Otto A. Rosalsky, Judge of the Court of General Sessions, is the Honorary Chairman, is arranging the celebration.
Rabbis Dr. Bernard Drachman and William Margolies, and Cantor Joseph Rosenblatt are arranging the religious part of the celebration.
The cornerstone of the Synagogue was laid by the late Jacob H. Schiff and Hon. Otto A. Rosalsky delivered the principal address.
Among the organizations which will participate in the celebration are the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada, the Rabbinical Board of the City of New York, the Degel Harrabbonim, the Cantors’ Association of America and the Independent Order Brith Abraham.
