A sentence of two months in jail and the payment of a fine was imposed by the court today on Laszalo Fenyes, editor of the Hungarian newspaper “Nepszava,” for publishing a communication of the Executive body of the Awakening Magyars, inciting the population to anti-Jewish violations.
In the communication, the executive of the Awakening Magyars urged the local groups of the organization to see to it that all kinds of Jewish entertainments are prevented, if necessary by force and to attack wealthy Jewish families in case of a pogrom. The editor submitted in court the original letter of the Executive of the Awakening Magyars.
