The Jewish population in Hungary will have hardly any representation in the proposed Hungarian Senate.
When the national assembly opened the deliberations on the bill to create a Hungarian upper house, it was learned that in spite of the demand of the Jewish population for two representatives in the Senate, only the Budapest chief rabbi will be nominated for senator as the representative of the Jewish denomination. The Catholics will have nineteen representatives, the Protestants three and the Lutherans two.
