A delegation including the Hungarian Socialists Peidl and Garami, and the Liberal, Professor Vambery, son of the noted Orientalist, who was so friendly to Theodor Herzl, left today for London to negotiate a program for Hungary with the newly created English Labor Government. The delegation is unanimous in its determination to ask England that there he no understanding with Hungary unless Regent Horthy’s Government guarantees freedom of citizenship and the recognition of the workers’ unions. Vambery in addition will ask that a member of the English Royal Family be placed on the Hungarian thrown and that Regent Horthy, who is an admiral, be given a post in the English admiralty. Hungarian socialists are in accord with Vambery in this request. The fact that King George is Vambery’s godfather is expected to add additional force to his request.
