A serious situation exists in Hungary today due to the opposition of the body of anti-Semitic students to the appointment of Professor Adam to the chair of surgery in the Medical College of Budapest University, a Budapest despatch to the “Arbeiter Zeitung” states. The situation is being aggravated by the fact, the “Arbeiter Zeitung” states, that the close advisers of Admiral Horthy, Regent of Hungary, are in opposition to the favorable policy of Count Bethlen toward the Jews in Hungary.

Count Klebelsberg, Minister of Education, threatened that he will close the university and even dissolve the anti-Semitic student associations if the opposition to Dr. Adam continues.
