Anti-Semitic disturbances broke out again today in Hungarian institutions despite the agreement reached between the demonstrating students and the government whereby the former pledged themselves to observe the peace when the government agreed to meet the majority of the student demands for restriction of Jewish registration in the universities and aid to Christian graduates.
Prompt action by the dean of the University of Debrecin today prevented physical maltreatment of Jewish students there when anti-Semitic rioting was resumed.
The Polytechnic Institute at the University of Budapest was also the scene of disorders today. The Institute was closed down immediately.
