Hungary today was pledged to “unshakable loyalty” to the Nazi-Fascist axis of Germany and Italy. The policy of this country, like that of the axis powers, is to create and maintain a just peace in central Europe, foreign minister count Stephen Csaky, said in an address last night at a dinner in honor of visiting Italian Foreign Minister Galeazzo Ciano.
“The Rome-Berlin axis is always inspired by the same objectives,” the Foreign Minister said. “Hungary will strive for these goals through peaceful contact with other countries. It will maintain unshakable loyalty to the axis powers and will seek to develop amicable relations with nations friendly to the axis countries.”
