Hungary Sentences Jewish Employer for Hiring Jews

A Budapest court today sentenced Bela Herczeg, Jewish general manager of the Salgotarjaner Steel Plant, to a 3,000 pengo fine or 20 days’ imprisonment for hiring Jews in violation of the anti-Jewish law. The director of the concern, Franz Beck, was sentenced to a 1,000 pengo fine or 10 days’ imprisonment on the same charge.
