Unemployment Commissar Stefan Kulstar announced today that the Government is training more than 6,500 persons to fill jobs of Jews displaced under the recently enacted law limiting to 20 per cent participation of Jews in the nation’s economy. Those in training are receiving Government subsidies amounting to 100 pengoes monthly (about $29). Dr. Kulstar made no mention in his statement of whether the displaced Jews would be given Government compensation.
The Supreme Court ruled today that the Jewish religion continues to enjoy legal protection against defamation despite the law.
