Funeral services for Mrs. Adele Schwartz, 44, prominent as an actress on the Yiddish stage a dozen years ago, who committed suicide by inhaling illuminating gas in her furnished room at 2926 West Thirty-second street, Brooklyn, will be held today in the Sigmund Schwartz Funeral Chapel, 312 East Fifth street, Manhattan.
Mrs. Schwartz, whose body was found in a chair near which she had strewn pictures of her theatrical days, left a note to her husband, Mordecai Schwartz, also an actor, in which she wrote that she felt that she was getting too old for the stage and that she could not see that the New Year held anything in store for her. Mr. Schwartz was attending services in a syngagogue.
