Hyman Reports Indianapolis Raises $51,708

Joseph Hyman, executive director of the Jewish Welfare Fund, announced today that the fundraising campaign here had been ended successfully, $51,708 having been raised. The campaign goal had been set at $51,220.

Hyman said that seventy large and small beneficiaries will be aided by the fund, the United Jewish Appeal coming in for the largest appropriation. Local Talmud Torahs, the Cleveland Orphans Home, the B’nai B’rith Wider Scope, the Anti-Defamation League, the Hadassah, and scores of other organizations will also be granted portions of the fund.

The campaign was executed under the direction of I. Ferdinand Kahn, G. A. Efroymson, L. L. Goodman, Robert Efroymson, Philip Greenwald, Edgar S Joseph, Jackiel W. Joseph, Dr. Louis Segar, Leonard A. Strauss and a number of co-chairmen.
