An Israeli civilion employe of the government’s Public Works Department (PWD) was killed and two other PWD workers were wounded in south Lebanon when their convoy was fired on and hit by two grenades. In another of several incidents over the weekend, an Israeli soldier was wounded when his patrol came under fire.
The PWD workers were engaged on road construction work for the IDF near Ansar when attackers fired at the convoy. The workers, who were armed, retumed the fire and IDF patrols later searched the area but failed to find those responsible for the attack.
