The silver jubilee of Covenant Lodge, Independent Order B’nai B’rith, was held here last Sunday with more than four hundred guests attending. Alfred M. Cohen, of Cincinnati, international president of I.O.B.B. and Dr. I. M. Rubinow, executive secretary of the constitutional grand lodge, also of Cincinnati, were guests of honor. A banquet, held in the evening, concluded the ceremonies. In the afternoon a class of candidates from seven lodges in various cities was initiated as the Alfred M. Cohen class. Mr. Cohen was the principal speaker at the banquet. Others who participated included: Rabbi Harvey E. Wessel, J. E. Segal, president of the Covenant Lodge; A. B. Kapplin, and Charles D. Oreckovsky.
