An all-Roumanian Jewish relief committee to bring support to the Jewish population of Bessarabia, facing starvation because of famine and unemployment in the region, was formed here at the inititaive of the Roumanian lodges of the Independent Order B’nai B’rith.
The relief committee has undertaken extensive drive for funds, issued an appeal for contributions and is calling a number of mass meetings in the principal centers. The initiative for the formation of the committee was taken by the I. O. B. B. lodge of Czernowitz, Bukowina.
