The work of the Independent Order B’nai B’rith will be extended to Panama and the Canal Zone.
Alfred M. Cohen, president of the Order, granted a Charter today for the establishment of a lodge in the City of Panama. The Charter was granted in response to a petition signed by twenty-five residents of Panama City.
Mr. Simon Barchak, the representative of the Jewish Welfare Board in the District was the organizer and the representative petitioner.
