A budget allocation of $9,000,000 for the transportation of Jewish refugees to Israel was approved today by the general council of the International Refugee Organization (I.R.O.) at Geneva, it was learned here. Of the $9,000,000, $4,000,000 was previously voted by the Council. The Joint Distribution Committee and other Jewish organizations have been pressing for I.R.O. payment of travel costs for Jewish refugees bound for Israel.
