Emir Feisal, second son of Ibn Saud and one of Saudi Arabia’s delegates to the United Nations Assembly, declared today in an interview in the Sunday Observer that a compromise solution of the Palestine problem is impossible as long as Zionists aim at the formation of a Jewish State.

If this demand is withdrawn, Emir Feisal said, he could see no reason why there should not be a Palestinian state where Jews and Arabs could develop peacefully side by side, but added that this would take time. Meanwhile, he proposed that the Arab League be recognized as the regional organization under the UNO charter.
