A telegram of congratulations on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Poland’s independence was despatched by the Joint Foreign Committee of the Anglo-Jewish Association and the Board of Jewish Deputies. The committee received a reply of thanks from Foreign Minister Zalesky in the name of the Polish Government.
A similar exchange of telegrams took place between the Committee and the Czechoslovakian government on the occasion of Czechoslovakia’s independence anniversary.
Philip L. Sykes, Baltimore atorney, has been appointed by Governor Albert C. Ritchie as an associate judge of the Orphans’ Court of Baltimore. He will take the position vacated by Harry. C. Gaither, who was appointed chief judge following the death recently of Chief Judge Myer J. Block.
