More than 15,000 people were expected to attend a mass meeting Saturday evening at Madison Square Garden, under the auspices of the ICOR (Association for Jewish Colonization in Soviet Russia).
Among the listed speakers who were to laud the granting of autonomy to the Soviet Jewish state were Charles Recht, Herbert Gold-frank, Louis Hyman, William Weiner, Moischa Katz, R. Salzman, M. Epstein, Earl Browder and H. Castrell. S. Almazov, national secretary of the ICOR, was to preside. A musical program was to be presented.
