Ida Kaminska, the former director and star of the Yiddish State Theater in Poland, will tour the United States and Canada in January and February in a series of Yiddish stage presentations sponsored by the lecture bureau of the National Jewish Welfare Board, the JWB announced.
Miss Kaminska, who exiled herself from Poland because of the official anti-Semitic campaign of the Warsaw regime, will appear with five members of her old troupe in scenes from various plays which were presented in Yiddish on Broadway and in monologues and songs. She will visit Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston and Baltimore.
