Four Israeli soldiers were injured Sunday night in Lebanon, in a roadside bomb attack perpetrated by the Moslem fundamentalist movement Hezbollah. The attack occurred in the eastern sector of what Israel calls its security zone in southern Lebanon.
The spokesman for the Israel Defense Force said one soldier sustained medium wounds, while the other three were lightly wounded. All were helicoptered to Haifa’s Rambam Hospital.
The Hezbollah organization claimed credit for setting off the bomb as an IDF convoy passed along a road near Ishiyah village.
The Israeli air force retaliated at noon Monday by bombing Hezbollah targets at Kafr Harif, north of the security zone.
