The International Federation of Airline Pilots Associations indicated here today that it was considering asking for a ban on air traffic to and from countries that failed to comply with measures against aerial hijacking and terrorism against civilian aircraft. The IFALPA meeting on air safety ended with what was described as “quite mild and ineffectual” resolutions. The organization however did ask all of its constituent associations to urge their respective governments to attend and support the forthcoming International Civil Aviation Organization conference on air safety.
