The Illinois House of Representatives has adopted resolution of tribute to the late Dr. Stephen S. Wise. The House adjourned its session for a day as an expression of respect to Dr. Wise’s memory.
(In Hew York, officials of the Free Synagogue, founded by Dr. Wise 42 years ago, announced last night that the congregation voted unanimously to change the name of the institution to “Stephen Wise Free Synagogue.”)
