The West German Supreme Court yesterday rejected an appeal by Ilse Koch, known as the “Witch of Buchenwald,” from a sentence of life imprisonment for crimes she committed against inmates of the Buchenwald concentration camp. The notorious prisoner is now serving her sentence at the Bavarian women’s prison in Aichbach.
