A total of 765 Jewish immigrants were aided in entering Canada, 1,052 persons were helped in passort matters, 307 persons were helped in becoming citizens, and 5,386 with money and food remittances amounting to $66,160.99 were transmitted to Europe by theJewish Immigrant Aid Society during the year 1933, the Society announced in its report for the year.
In addition to this work, thirty-four applicants for work were placed, 618 contacts between people abroad and their relatives in Canada were established, and nine Jewish immigrants detained at overseas ports were granted admission through intervention.
