British destroyers were reported tonight to be escorting into Haifa the second Jewish blockade runner captured this week.
The vessel, which is rumored to carry 1,000 passengers, is believed to be the same ship which called at Le Havre last week and touched at a small port near Algiers on Sunday night. It left Sweden on Jan. 24 flying the Honduras flag.
The port district of Haifa was out off from the rest of the city at 6 p.m. and heavy police and troops reinforcements were sent into the dock area, indicating that the ship was expected to arrive tonight.
