Trusteeship Council, which is currently considering a draft statute for an international regime in Jerusalem, agreed this week-end that immigration into the city shall be placed under the control of the U.N. governor. The governor would receive his instructions from the Council which would take into consideration the abscrptive capacity of the city and the equality of religious communities when it sets quotas.
It was also decided that Arabic and Hebrew would be the official working languages of the administration. In the event that another becomes necessary the authorities are authorized to use one of several other possible languages as an official tongue.
