It will be impossible for the government to pay the full amount of the loss sustained by victims in the recent Palestine outbreak, an official communique issued today declares. No claim for damages will be accepted after November 15.
As the amounts to be received from the imposition of fines will be inadequate to meet the claims, the government will make grants ex gratia, the communique declares, but it will be impossible to pay the full amount of the loss.
Compensation will not be paid in areas where Arabs and Jews Joined in promiscuous fighting, in areas where the inhabitants are convicted under the collective punishment ordinance in areas where the inhabitants miscomducted themselves or when loss occurred by action of the police or troops, where property was insured, where the loss was caused by the neglect of the claimants, where the claim is for damage
