Rabbi Joshua L. Goldberg, who returned today on the Aquitania from a four-month tour of Poland and other countries for the American Committee Appeal for Jews in Poland, quoted Count Lubienski, a Polish Foreign Ministry official, as emphasizing to him in an interview that the present Government believed the Jews in Poland would always remain there.
“Although one should not give too much weight to such smooth words,” Dr. Goldberg said “they nevertheless reflect an improvement in the political atmosphere.”
