Premier Bela Imredy has launched a “Hungarian Life Movement,” a somewhat modified version of independent Austria’s ill-fated “Fatherland Front.” Like the leaders of pre-Anschluss Austria, Imredy hopes to steal some of thunder of Hungary’s militant Nazis by investing his new organization with many of the Hitlerite doctrines. In a speech inaugurating the organization, he vigorously defended his anti-Semitic program.
