In connection with the promulgation of the Palestine Communities Ordinance, the British Colonial Office has suggested that the title of Vaad Leumi. National Council of Palestine Jews. should be changed to General Council of the Jews of Palestine.
The Vaad Leumi and the Zionist Executive have expressed themselves against the proposed change, declaring that the name National Council, has been in use for the last seven years, since the foundation of the Council.
