Prof. A. L. Sachar, historian, orator and national director of the Hillel Foundations, will join with Representative Samuel Dickstein as a principal speaker at the campaign dinner of the current $10,000 B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Service Appeal, Monday night at the. Progress Club.
Prof. Sachar is coming directly from Champagne, Ill., where he is on the faculty of the University of Illinois. He will speak on the work of the Hillel Foundations and the Jewish youth movement in general.
Congressman Dickstein’s address, which will be broadcast over the local radio station WGCP, will center, of course, about the current Congressional probe of Nazi and other subversive propaganda. Charles Manshe., chairman of the local drive, will act as toastmaster and Jacob Fischel heads the dinner sponsors’ committee comprised of thirty prominent business and professional men.
