The first Jewish settlement to be inaugurated in Palestine since the riots, was begun yesterday by a small group of labor landholders. The name of the colony is Beth Hanan and it is situated near Rishon Le Zion. Forty settlers have gone to occupy the 600 dunams of land and with loans of $3,000 each furnished them by the Jewish National Fund and the Bulgarian Zionists.
