An increase in tuberculosis among men, women and children throughout the country is reflected in the applications for admission to the National Jewish Hospital at Denver, Justice Samuel D. Levy, of the Children’s Court and chairman of the hospital’s New York Committee, declared in a report to contributors in the metropolitan area.
Dr. Morris Fishbein, noted medical authority and editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association, stated in a supplementary report that twenty years from now the effect of the present depression will still be evident in the death rate from tuberculosis.
