The belief that anti-Semitism “is rampant every-where” in Europe was expressed here during the week-end by Rap. Thurmond Chatham (D., N.C.), upon his return from a Congressional tour of Europe and the Middle East. The Congressman said he observed a growing anti-Jewish feeling, particularly in Scandinavia, Greece and Turkey.

“Anti-Semitism is rampant everywhere,” he said. “The heads of governments take you into a back room to talk about it,” added the Congreessman. He said that in Iran and Iraq, Arabs told him “as soon as American funds stop going into Israel, we’ll take over.”
