A resolution urging the U.S. Government to extend grants-in-aid to Israel was approved last night at a meeting of the executive board of the Independent Order Brith Abraham. The resolution, which was sent to President Truman, noted that Israel has “demonstrated its democratic tendencies and has proven to be the bulwark of democracy in the Near East.”
