Political circles expressed satisfaction today with the announcement made in New Delhi last night that the Indian Government has accorded de jure recognition to Israel.
The New Delhi announcement said because of “economy and the lack of trained personnel” no diplomatic representative will be sent to Israel at this time. The announcement also pointed out that the New Delhi Government recognized Israel after two years of “very careful consideration” and that “Israel is here to stay.”
