Indian officials said they will wait for a report from their envoy in Tel Aviv before acting on allegations that Indian members of a U.N. peacekeeping force in Lebanon helped Hezbollah gunmen kidnap three Israeli soldiers last October. According to Israeli media reports, Indian soldiers in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon accepted bribes from Hezbollah in addition to helping with the kidnapping.
