Prime Minister Shastri of India pledged support today to the Arab nations for their “just claims” to “the waters of the River Jordan” and for the “rights of the Palestinian refugees, ” it was reported here from Cairo.
The pledge was contained in a communique issued at the close of a three-day state visit by the Indian Premier to India prior to his attending the conference of non-aligned states now taking place in Cairo.
In return, the Indian leader won an expression of concern from President Gamal Abdel Nasser of Egypt over the India-China border dispute.
