Great indignation has been created among the foreign-born population of Detroit and the other towns of Michigan State because of the action of the Governor, Mr. Wilbur Brucker, in refusing to receive a delegation which wished to appeal to him against the bill, which, it is understood, is approved by the Governor.
Representatives of Jews, Poles, Germans, Italians and other nationalities have held an urgent conference to decide what measures to take against the bill. Prominent jurists have declared it as their opinion that the bill has no legal basis, and that it will be defeated if its legality is questioned before the Supreme Court of the State.
