The Palestine Inquiry Commission held its first meeting today in the Colonial Office in order to further consider procedure in connection with the hearing of several witnesses in London. The sitting was private and no communique was issued.
It is learned that for the present no developments have occurred since the Commission left Palestine. The only delay in presenting the report is due to the necessity of taking further evidence. The Commission feels that it stayed rather long in Palestine owing to the volubility of the witnesses and it is now anxious to speed up its work in order to present its report as soon as possible, but not before the end of the month.
