Some 400 delegates from all parts of the United States attended the three-day session of the third annual convention of the Intercollegiate Zionist Federation of America, which closed last night, in the Jewish Community Center here.
Carl Alpert, educational director of the Zionist Organization of America, delivered the keynote address with a strong plea for the abandonment of Zionist political parties in the Diaspora now that a Jewish state has been proclaimed. He predicted that the Federation, because of its non-partisan nature, “might well become the pattern and the model for the future.”
