Eleanor Rathbone, Independent M.P., attacked the claim that the admission of refugees fostered anti-Semitism and urged easing of the immigration barriers. Prof. F. Levy of the Imperial College of Science praised the contribution to the Allied war effort of the Jews in Russia and warned that Britons must unite to fight anti-Semitism if they are to escape the scourge of Fascism.
