The interest which Jews in America have in the defense of Palestine was emphasized today in a message sent to the Jews of Palestine by the Histadruth Ivrith, organization to promote the Hebrew language and literature.
Replying to the call issued last week by the conference of Jewish in Palestine, the message points out that Jews in America are active in their efforts to bring before President Roosevelt and the United Nations the need for giving the Jews of Palestine the possibility of defending themselves and joining their forces with the Allied forces. The message was approved at a mass-meeting held by the Histadruth Ivrith last night at the Hotel Pennsylvania here to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the death of Chaim-Nachman Bialik, the famous Hebrew poet.
