The Intergovernmental Committee for Refugees, now in session here, today appointed a sub-committee to decide on whether its surplus funds should be transferred to the International Refugee Organization when the latter takes over the functions of the IGCR on July 1.
The sub committee, which is composed of representatives of the United States, Britain, France, Switzerland, Holland, New Zealand and Venezuela, will also nominate members of the board of liquidation which is to liquidate the Intergovernmental Committee, which was established shortly before the war at the Evian Conference convoked at the initiative of the late President Roosevelt to facilitate the emigration of Jews from Germany and Austria.
