A dinner for James R. Hoffa, a vice-president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, here this week-end raised $265,000 which Mr. Hoffa said would go toward the building of a children’s home in Israel. Among the members of the committee which sponsored the $100-a-plate dinner was Bishop Bernard J. Shiel of Chicago.
