An international conference of Polish Jews will open here on May 26, with delegates from Poland, England, Palestine, Canada and Latin-American countries in attendance, it was announced today by the American Federation of Polish Jews which is sponsoring the meeting.
Addressing a press conference here, Dr. Joseph Tenenbaum, president of the federation, also reported that the organization is launching a campaign for $500,000 for the cultural rehabilitation of Polish Jewry. Discussing the need for clothing, food and medicine, he said that about $350,000 in cash and supplies have already been collected for that purpose, and some supplies are already en route to Poland.
