The executive of the International Conference of Social Work, a non-governmental organization with branches in 44 countries, opened today a three-day annual meeting in Jerusalem.
Twenty-five members of the executive from overseas, in addition to the Israeli participants, are attending the meeting. The conference was founded in 1928 to provide a global forum for discussion of social work and its place in the development of nations. Professor Lester Granger of New York City, who retired recently as director of the Urban League, is president.
