The Jewish question in Roumania and in Greece will be a part of the agenda of the international conference of the League of Nations societies, which will take place in the middle of March.
The conference will be participated in by the Jewish League of Nations societies from Palestine, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia and Austria. It was stated here that authentic material including official documents concerning the anti-Jewish excesses in Transylvania was prepared and will be submitted. The compulsory Sunday rest law in Greece which affects greatly the economic situation of the Jewish population, will also be taken up. It was learned that the Jewish delegates to the conference will move that the conference decide to forward the entire material to the Secretariat of the League of Nations, so that the League Council may take official action.
Booklets containing the documents concerning the recent anti-Jewish excesses in Roumania are being prepared now by the committee and Jewish delegations in Paris. It was also learned that the Greek Government has declared its intention to call a conference of Jewish leaders in Salonica on the Sunday rest question.
